hi,1st let me say hi to everyone,im roy. iv just had my 1st baby bps,i had 5 eggs,2 had very deformed but live babys inside(1 no bottem jaw and very kinked body and the other had odd shaped head,no jaw with only 1 eye in the top of its head,)sad as it was i was glad they both died within an hour of me cutting the egg.2 of the others are livley and quite nosy and have absorbed there eggsacs and detached ok.however the other one doesnt seem to be absorbing the eggsac at all.iv looked and its not twisted or anything, its just not absorbing it.they hatched 5 days ago, any advice on what to do will be appreciated.although im not new to keeping reptiles i am new to breeding them.thanks

Although I've never had eggs myself, I'd be inclined to say based on things I've read that you probably had a sudden spike or drop in temperature to cause those babies to come out like that. Your normal-looking babies may have been affected by it too, although not quite so conspicuously, and it might have something to do with the one not absorbing his yolk. All I can suggest is to put him in a little tuppaware container with some damp paper towels and wait. If he still doesn't absorb his yolk you can tie off the umbilical chord with a thread and cut it, then use a feeding syringe to to put some chicken yolk down his throat so he has some nutrition.

I'm sure somebody more experienced will chime in soon, too. I hope that he pulls through for you.
