    Bredli Growth rate? and questions...
So Back at the beginning of May (May 1st to be exact), I picked up a little male bredli. He weighed in at 37 grams empty. Today, hes pushing 70 grams. He has not shed once for me yet. Is it normal for carpet pythons to not shed as much? How long does it take for them to reach a nice large size, like around the average 6-7 feet? I know it can take a couple years, but I want this guy to get big, but at a healthy rate.
Just kind of curious about those couple things.

    Thanks!
    Matt

How old is he? Snakes do shed more often when they are young but still never more then once a month. Being that it's only been two months and it hasn't shed, there is nothing to worry about. It is probably due for one soon but it will shed when it need to.

My adult male is approximately 2.5 years old, and is around five feet long. I don't know if he is fully grown yet. My female is approximately 3 years old, and is around 7 - 8 feet.

Ok, thanks guys, He was hatched in September, so he is 9 months old now. He was 37 grams, and now he is around 70, as i stated above. I was handling him last night, and noticed he was starting to get hazy, all over his body, and just a milky look, but not in his eyes. He is finally starting a shed, I cant wait to see him freshly shed out!!
Do they hit certain times when they go into growth spurts? 5 foot is not a bad size at all, anywhere from the 5-7 foot range sounds awesome to me, im used to ball pythons, so I do want an animal thats big enough to handle with some nice size on him. I can patiently wait though. For now, he is eating every 4-6 days, and doing great.
    Thanks guys,

    Matt

Would you guys like to post pics of your larger bredlis? Id love to see mid sized to full sized bredli!

I have never owned a bredli but I heard their adult size is usually 7-8 feet.

Snakes generally reach mature size at about age 4.Your male should still have some growing left in him. THe female might grow a little more but could be close to, if not already, maxed out. The 7-8 foot range sounds like the norm for bredli's.
