    feeding schedule
    hey,
all you experienced boa keepers, i need your advice. I've been reading on different feeding schedules to maintain a healthy boa, 1-3 moths (1) fuzzy every 5 days, 4-12 months (1) small rat every week but the I've also read that from 1-12 months to feed appropriate size rat every week. now these are just samples that I'm remembering off the top of my head but I've been feeding my boy a fuzzy mouse every 5 days but I'm beginning to think that it might be too much. i don't want him to get unhealthy big. thanks for your advice.

I think it's difficult to overfeed babies, but easy to overfeed adults. I generally stick to once a week and then slowly back off after a year.

I don't have a set schedule that works for every boa. They're all different. I feed babies every week for a few weeks in a row, and then I skip a week. It's good to allow your snake to empty its system out after a few feedings. I've also noticed that Boas actually grow more when they're skipping meals.
