Python Wars...
I just saw that National Geographic channel is airing a show called Python Wars tonight at 9:00pm and again at 12:00am EST. It's about the Burms in Fl. I'm not sure if it is a re-run or a new one, but judging by the preview, it seems like it is another biased show...

Yup. Just saw that. I was like oo, lets see how bad this is. But then my girlfriend said "no, it'll just piss you off". And she's right. I cant stand these shows.

Re: Python Wars...
Well, I just watched it, and I guess it had it's good points and bad. It was basically a documentary on the problem of feral Burms and the USGS and FWC'c efforts to capture, track, and study them, however, some of the commentary by the narrator was melodramatic and over the top. As a snake owner, it was easy for me to pick out the parts that were there for effect and shock value, but to the casual viewer, it would definitely have the desired effect...:(

Re: Python Wars...
A couple good points but alot of erroneous misleading information. I found myself laughing at some of the dumber things they talked about.

Re: Python Wars...
Watch The Python Hunters on Nat Geo Wild on Monday night. Done by Greg Graziani, Shawn Hafleck and Michael Cole; Michael and Greg are both ball python lovers and breeders for many years. Gives our industry side of the story about the pythons in the Everglades.
Should be good.
I also heard that some cable companies will add Nat Geo Wild to your cable at no additional cost if you currently don't have it.
