    Pastel Price
    Hi,

Recently, I have been looking to expand my collection to more than just my normal ball python, Ozzy. I love Ozzy to death, but I do want more snakes, and the Pastels have been catching my eye. I love the bright yellow contrasted with some of the black...

I was just wondering how much a hatchling or young one of these would cost (preferably female, I want to name it Morticia):

    • Lemon Pastel
    • Super Pastel
    • Black Pastel
    • Pastel

    Thanks,
    ~ Mac

Depends. I paid $275 for this girl just 2 weeks ago without blinking an eye.

In contrast, his other female pastels were $175.

The price ranges for pastels are pretty big. I recently saw a pastel female for $125 but it was not the best looking pastel.

The more you pay, the nicer the pastel. The less you pay, the crappier the pastel.

I bought my girl in jan 2009 for $200 and she is a great looking pastel and is still super yellow. I think $200 is a good price for a hatchling/juvenile pastel female.

Why is Black Pastel in that list?

I dont see you wanting that when you're looking for bright yellow/high contrast.

Yeah, even though I do seem to love the brighter morphs, the Black Pastel has caught my eye a few times. Though it may have to be crossed off, I've seen a few with very lovely black on them, they do kind of look like normals though P:

IanG Black Pastel is one of my top desired snakes, mostly because the supers of them I have seen are straight black, plus it would give me extra reason to get an albino, hehe. I love the Black Pastels and Lemon Pastels are absolutely fantasic looking snakes, they beat out normal Pastels any day.

Well, you know that I've been working with lemons exclusively - I'm really hoping that normal pastel I posted above gives them a run for their money! :D
