Tail wag during dinner time?

Almost everytime my leo Samson goes to get a cricket, he'll pause and slowly walk up and he'll pause for a bit. If he pauses for a while, his tail will start to wag, starting from the tip then it actually starts to vibrate, then he'll pounce and it will be over. This usually happens with each cricket but not always and he only does this when he's getting his crickets. Does anyone have leos who do this?

I had a huge aggresive female that did that everytime she ate, I thought it was pretty cool.

It's very common for leos to do this - I think every leo I've known has done it at least some of the time.

Wow, I didn't know that! Samson is my first leo and I've only seen a few vids on leos eating but they didn't do the tail wag that I could tell. Its also something I've never read/heard about! Good to know it's a common thing and its always fun to watch!

Hehe. They remind me of cats when they do this. We have a tangerine leopard that we rescued. She is the only one that has ever lost her tail. It grew back in and is really fat and not slender tail normal tail anymore (she was like that when we got her). Anyways, it's a nub, and it's hilarious when she tail wags. :D

I have a female Tremper that does that most of the time. Its definately cute to watch. She will curl up in an S shape then her tail goes up and wiggles around like a rattlesnake for about a second then she pounces.
