    needle in a haystack
    talk about that...shoot! :weirdface
I'm currently searching for some family members that i havent seen since i was little, my mother & father specifically & some siblings.
i was raised with a good family that loves me & understands my need to find my real family members :D but i guess i feel kind of empty, and i feel that i shouldnt feel empty. :colbert:
i had, no... i have, a very good family & that should be enough, some might say.
i just wanna get a few things off my chest when i find them so i can move on & live a better, burden-free life for my children & fiancee.
maybe i should just stick with the family i have & go to counseling, huh?

Why not do both? Go to counseling AND look for the other family? It's awesome that you have a loving family that understands...and it's healthy that you realize and appreciate that. But if there are old wounds festering down deep, seeing a good counselor might be just what you need.

There's no reason why you can't continue looking at the same time you try to work out your issues. You may find the healing you need in counseling and be happy to let go of the search...or the healing and growth you find during counseling may prepare you to confront your old family in a healthy and productive way.

Whatever you decide though, I wish you all the best!
