My first cresteds:)
So I am picking up my first cresteds here in about a week in a half. I have been reading all I can and I have a quick question. I am getting a male and two females, the male and one of the females are 1.5 years old and the other female is 6-8 months I belive. Can the two females be housed together? Sorry I dont have any weights on them. Just a few pics to go off of.
The enclosures are exo-terras one is 12x12x12 and the other is 12x12x18 I was planning on putting the two females in the larger tank and the male in the smaller one.
Here is the male

Re: My first cresteds:)
I LOVE Dalmatians! Great pick-ups!
Hopefully I'll be getting some crest geckos, too :D
Females can be housed together, just make sure the size difference isn't too big, and try having two separate feeding places.
Good luck with them, and post more pictures!

I agree with the size difference, as long as they are not too far off you can house them in one tank. If there is a big difference the larger famale can dominate the lil one. Check weights before housing them in one. Good luck

Re: My first cresteds:)
A 1.5 year old and a 6-8 month old female are probably too far apart in size to be housed together and the larger one will dominate the smaller causing it not to get enough to eat and to suffer from general stress. Younger and smaller geckos should be within a few grams of eachother in order to be housed together. The smaller the geckos, the closer in size they should be. Once they reach adult size (35+ grams) you have a little more leeway--for instance, a 35 gram adult will usually be okay with a 45 gram adult or so.

Super cute Cresties! I also have the 12x12x18 for mine, I love it...except for tomorrow, its cleaning day, lol. Wouldnt be so bad but I have one of those nutty Geckos that just loves to jump and run, and she is really quick too, getting her into the tub so I can clean the enclosure can be a job by itself, haha. :D
