    He finally ate!
My ball python ate today! After not eating since November of last year, he finally ate for me today! I am so happy!

He has been looking around for the past few days, looking as if he was hunting. I didn't handle him at all. But today I went to SuperPets and was actually looking for a rat, but they didn't have any. So I got two of the largest mice.

Anyways, an hour later, after they were thawed out, I put them in front of his hide. I turned around to put the weights that keep him secured in his cage, I turned around, and he was out! Sniffing the air with his tongue, and I saw him drag the mouse into his hut. I left though, but it was amazing!

An hour later, both mice were gone. I took his hide off of him to make sure he didn't just drag them in a and let them lay there. I looked in, no mice, but a small bulge in his belly!

So, I guess he will be getting two (three) mice since he doesn't like rats. Anyways, I am so happy! He hasn't eaten since November, and he finally ate two full grown mice! Hopefully I can get him back up to weight. How often should I feed him now?

I just wanted to let you guys know how my snake was doing, and how happy I am ;) :D :)

Also, should I start feeding him two-three large mice, or a small rat? He doesn't seem to be interested in rats at all.

If it was me I would feed him whatever he wanted to eat, he is gonna need to gain his weight back...

Just feed him a good number of mice in 5-6 days, you dont wanna overfeed him right now I bet his stomach is gonna need to adjust to feeding again.

Aww :( I hope yours starts eating again! Ball pythons are so crazy, aren't they? Not eating and eating... And they all start it randomly ;) Mine absolutely refuses to eat rats, so he will just be eating a few frozen/thawed mice every five days until he is nice and chunky, and gets back up to weight.

    Good luck with yours!
