Ya 3 different species, I want to be able to set different temps for each snake...
Re: What kind of Thermostat?
Herpstat Pro all the way
It can simulate sunrises and sunsets with lights
Night drops

Re: What kind of Thermostat?
Dude I just read all about it! So its basically a rheostat / thermostat, it can dim the power source as well as shut it on or off! That sounds so cool! and it leaves me room for a 4th probe for an extra snake!
I also like the alarm in case of overheating!
I am totally gonna order one today, thanks man!
Re: What kind of Thermostat?
Like for instance if you use lights, it can simulate sunrises and sunsets.
Its a proportional thermostat, constantly adjusting temps so they stay within most times a tenth of a degree
But it can ALSO be switched over to run as an on/off thermostat.
Its SUPER simple to setup, I had mine going right out of the box with no problems
It also has the 4 probes like you saw, so for instance as long as a rack is all the same setup, one probe/output can control it just fine as long as you stay within the 400w I believe it is power output per probe.
I have 9 snakes and 17 eggs in an incubator and Im using 3 probes, the last one is setup telling me my room temps.
One of the best pieces of equipment you can buy
Re: What kind of Thermostat?
Thanks again for the quick response, I have all my stuff on rheostats, and its a pain keeping everything manually adjusted using seperate digital thermometers. Also living in Arizona makes the temp change between summer and winter a big problem as well... A thermostat like that Herpstat Pro would be the perfect solution to my problems...
Really appreciate the tip man!
Ah! One more question, you can set each probe for its own temps right? That way each tub is on its own program? I thought thats what you said but I want to make sure!
Re: What kind of Thermostat?
That's EXACTLY what I said:gj:
And then you can shoot your cages/tubs with a temp gun and then calibrate your thermostat to those same temps.
Adjust power output curves
The thermostat will also automatically adjust to keep temps even more steady
The features goes on and on!
It can be bought with the bundle deal to call or text you even when theres a problem with the temps!
Its an awesome piece of technology!
The guy there is awesome to deal with as well
Great products, great customer service
What more do you need?
Glad to help:salute:

Re: What kind of Thermostat?
So do I need to actually calibrate the temp sensors myself before I can use it?
I have a quality temp gun, but I would of thought it would work out of the box without the need for calibration.
Re: What kind of Thermostat?
Its just fine right out of the box
If you shoot an area with your temp gun and it reads 95.0 and the Pro says its at 95.2, and youd rather trust your temp gun for what ever reason....
You can go in and calibrate the thermostat within seconds to make it say 95.0.
Its PERFECT right out of the box, dont get me wrong.
Theres just little things you can go in and change that make it a really neat thing to have.
