They are cute. As much as I love my snakes and monitors, I do find some rats that I wish I could keep.

I totally agree. I had some panda babies pop this time around. They are all white with black splotches on their eyes. I keep thinking if I wait and feed them last maybe one of the older rats will die (naturally) and I can keep them!

It's not bad if your hoping for a natural death right?

Those are really cool. You'll have to write that pairing down to try again. If you have multiple males, and keep track of who breeds with who.

Ha ha, I guess it's not bad to wish sometimes. The problem here is we can not keep any rats, mice, guinea pigs, chinchillas, etc. Nor would I give up any of my snakes in order to keep one of the rats.

Oh. That kind of stinks. They make really good pets, of course snakes are better. :) I love seeing the look on peoples faces when they ask if it's expensive buying that many rats. I just tell them no, the rats live in the basement. Lol.

We used to keep and breed rats, but for some reason are not aloud to anymore. Snakes are better, I would never trade mine for the life of me, I still like to play with the rats a little bit before feeding them off though. Ha ha, I try not to tell people what snakes I have, it would be my luck that they would actually be interested and steal them all.

With my rodent shed in my back yard it's easier for me to keep "pet rats" lol. I have a few that come out to play every day. My favorites turn into breeders....my not so favs end up as snake food :D
