Vanilla or fire have belly marks?
    Ok, so here's the deal.

I went to a small local reptile shop today. They have quite a few nice snakes and stuff there. While I am window shopping, I come across a tank of adult and sub-adult normal male ball pythons.

In among the various normals is one male who positively glows! Light, bright, clean colors and very faded head with a big bright spot in the center, along with a bit of almost an arrowhead shape? I ask to see him. He's a good size snake, probably 400 grams+. And he's just beautiful. He's not just a "light normal" color, he's got a lot of cream and yellow in him. But, his belly isn't clean like I'd expect. In fact, although his belly is nice and white, he's got a dark pattern running down the very center of his belly, almost exclusively in his wide belly scales.

Now, I know it's probably wishful thinking that he's anything but an exceptional normal, but I was curious. Does anyone out there have a fire or vanilla { the two morphs he most closely resembles } with belly markings?

Pretty sure naked bellies are a must have fire trait. I know all the ones Ive seen are white.
Very least it could be a nice dinker :).

May be normal, but abnormal enough to not just be normal. Y'know? Worth working with, I'd say.

Well, by the description... Even nice looking normals will pass that on. It's not just the morphs that are genetic.

Yeah, I really believe he'd pass that trait on, and it's very cool to see.

I've seen LOTS of snakes with side belly marks, and even a few that it was across the whole belly. But I've not yet seen one like him, where the sides of his belly are white, and just the center was marked.

If I can scrounge up the $75, I might just go back and get him. I bet he'd make some nice babies crossed to pastel or even Mojave.

Found this picture in another thread discussing Black Bellys.

Not that I'm crazy enough to think this one is related to them, but that IS what his belly looks like. I think it's cool.
