    Bad shed? or what?
my bp Mars has shed his top piece of skin on his head and his eye caps came off well. but now he has just stopped trying to even shed,is this typical for them to do? every time hes shed he hasnt done this, also his skin is really wrinkly looking.

its not a humidity problem cause humidity is around 70-80% always

Sometimes it just rips and then it's hard for them to get the rest off. If it looks like it is irritating the snake then maybe a wet cotton swap will help get it off, but I honestly suggest leaving it until the next shed. If it's not causing harm, then no sense stressing the snake about it.(if it is then I would prefer someone with more experience tells you how, but hopefully I've helped a bit) ~Caylan.S.~

EDIT! Just realized i read the original post totally wrong! The head shed, but not the body. Seen this once with a carpet python, gave her a nice bath in a bin and she did everything while in the bath. Could try that. Not sure why it would have quit shedding, but it happens)

Whatever happened, how long has it been since he started or quit? If you've given him a full night, a soak is probably in order. Read this if you haven't.

Also look into your humidity. How high is it and what are you using to measure it? You want something digital reporting at least 50-60%.

its just a regular hygrometer, and the enclosure is a plastic sterilite tub so im sure the humidity isnt a problem in there. i could try covering some of the air holes. also it hasnt even been a full day since he started shedding so maybe im just freaking out :p
ill wait til tomorow and see how hes doing and update with a post
    thanks for all the help

If you had 70-80 percent humidity you would not see a stuck shed.
Regular hygrometer? as in a frisbee shaped disk? lol
Those stick on hygrometers are junk, do not trust one.

Trust one thing, if your snake sheds in one piece your humidity is high enough,
if it doesn't shed in one piece or mostly one piece then it's not high enough.
