    Help fixing a pre-wired Ranco
    Though I would check others opinions about rewiring my ranco t-stat.

    Bought it from reptile basics, had a problem with the wall socket and wrecked the male end of the plug, so I am going to wire on a new male piece.

    BUT, the wire colors inside threw me off. From what I can tell the blue is the hot wire and the green with the yellow stripe is the ground?

    So, right side of the male plug is the blue wire, left side is the brown, and green with stripe is the ground

    Thanks a lot, just don't want to wreck the t-stat

    The one I wired just had a black, white and green wire. Green was the ground. Here's a how-to article that I used...
