    Meet Doc
As I walked into Repticon Tampa, I had no intentions of leaving with a Boa, but Bill Schmiedecke's Colombian Red-Tail Boas was IMHO the best looking, cleanest, and FRIENDLIEST table at the show. Bill and his wife were amazingly helpful, speaking with me for 30 minutes or an hour, comparing different animals, and even holding two snakes for me for an hour to give me time. This was especially considerate seeing as it was not only 10 AM, with people still flowing in, but the two snakes they were willing to hold were the best looking Albino Male and Pastel Male. If you are looking for a Boa, give these guys a look, they are a true example of the amazing people in this business, and their animals are stellar. Here's their website: http://tampaboaman.com/

I'm already in love with his temperament, and couldn't be more pleased with adding him to my collection. With my BP Wyatt, I guess I need to name their rack the O.K. Corral...:gj:

Wow, he's fantastic! I love his coloring, you got a really great looking Boa. Wish I lived closer, I doubt they'll be coming all the way to Utah to come to our dinky little Reptile Expo in October. :D Congrats on a beautiful pickup.

Hahahaha he's super tiny, so he's barely fit around, but I definitely will know better when he gets big enough!

Speaking of super tiny...Does anyone have a solution for young snakes sneaking out through the gap between the top of tub and the top of the rack? This little guy got out twice on me, luckily as I was watching him, and currently a desk calendar I slid under the tub is doing the trick...

Here's a photo of the setup, and animal plastics sterilite 1960 rack. Anyone have experience with this issue? How fast will this little guy bulk up so it's no longer an issue even without the calendar?

    Hi,

    How is it heated?

If it is belly heat then the calendar could cause problems and a sheet of thin plastic attatched to the top of the tub slot might work better?

The rack is back heat, so hopefully no issues there. But I have actually noticed his temps are lower than the BP's, regardless of which of the three slots he is in...so I don't know if the calendar is affecting that, despite it being back heat...
