    Some specific Questions about Eggs
So I've long done my research on the whole egg and bp breeding thing (and continue to do so) but there are a few questions that I'm having a hard time finding answers to and could really use some help.

    1. Once the baby pips or the egg is cut, what do you do with the press n' seal? Leave on or Take it off? I just figure that a baby's gotta breath some how.....

    2. Say you cut your eggs on day 55, do you still need to add water to the egg to prevent the yolk from drying (assuming of course there's still a bit of yolk left?)

press and seal can come off ( i took mine off already due to have the incubator humid as possible to begin with.) I got 86% humidity in the incutbator itself and it so humid in the egg containers that I got to wipe condsation off.

as for cutting eggs I say should be find with out adding the water. I never added to the one clutch I hatch out about 2 years ago. then again I cut them at the advise of a poster cause they had dented and were still hard at day 54. ( stupid me forgot to add water to the mix near the end, but they all hatch fine. )

plus if you add water could drown the hatchlings, or cause otherissues if it not the sterile kind ( like IV solution.)

Jason, I take the Press & Seal off completely about a week before I cut the eggs.

As for misting the eggs - I do it on a case by case basis. If they look like they're drying, I'll do a light mist, otherwise, I leave them alone.

Thanks for the help yall, I've always found it curious how all the "egg/breeding Tuturials" tell you to use press n' seal but never say when to remove it.

PS: Its Day 42! Hurry up already. LOL

Re: Some specific Questions about Eggs
about 2 weeks before they are suppose to pip, i peel a very little opening in one of the corners of the press n seal. This is when the egg needs the most oxygen. when the first one pips, I replace the press n seal with the lid that came with the container. I have a few little holes in the lid to let a little more air in. when the hatchlings begin to wonder around the egg box, it keeps them in.
