    My BP is...Blind!?
I have been noticing after I have handled Pandora she seams to have a hard time finding the hole for her hide. It is strange, when she is wrapped around my hand I put my hand into the terrarium on the substrate and she will slither off and over to her hide, however at this point she seems to have to poke her head around for a bit to find the entrance. Tonight was the worst I have seen, she approached the hide and started looking for the entrance just to the left of it...she then proceeded to poke her way all the way around the hide until she finally reached the entrance.

It really does look like she can't see, however here is what makes it confusing.

    - She was doing this before her first shed (first shed since ive owned her, she is a 2010 baby)

    - She is still doing it after the shed with no retained eye caps

    - She feeds fine and never seems to show this behaviour anywhere else inside or out of her enclosure.

    - She is still jumpy, tonight she was on my futon exploring...when I walked by (maybe 3 feet away) she was startled.

Seems like her vision is fine 99% of the time, until she is returned to her home and she sometimes rushes to her hide (she is still shy) but then she has a hard time finding the entrance!?

Well, balls don't have the best vision anyhow. Mine sometimes do the hide search thing too.

And as far as you startling her, that's to be expected, she probably only saw a large dark shape and figured she was going to get eaten by a predator.

As far as I know, even a completely blind ball can get along just fine.

Seems normal they all do it... poke around until they actually can keep going forward...
