4+ ft Female alligator, where could I find one?
Hey guys I have a friend living up in Sacramento who owns a 46 year old male American Alligator and he is looking to breed him. I don;t know much about gators but is 4 ft large enough for a female to breed? How about the weight? What is suggested? Also, are there any links to gator breeders in California? But if you know of any out of Cali, feel free to post a link to them as well. Sorry for all the questions, some of this is for personal knowledge hehe. :)

    How big is that sucker?

And the female needs to be at least 6+ feet.

I have no clue. Honestly if anyones looking for a Alligator it should be him, he has the male and should know what size to get. Im not sure a small female would last breeding to him...

If he is in Sacramento, there is no way he is going to be able to get a female legally. Assuming he has a legal permit for his male (I'm guessing by the age of the alligator he had it before the law was put in place and was able to receive a permit by means of being grandfathered in), I doubt the state is going to hand out another permit for a new female as well as permit the breeding of them, as they are most definitely illegal here in CA.
