Is it okay to make my ball python roam on my bed?

or is it possible to carry sickness that can affect me..?

I think it's safe as long as he/she doesnt have mites, or any sort of infection.

While viruses aren't passed from BPs to people, they can still transfer bacteria and parasites. If your husbandry practices are good and your snake is healthy it shouldn't be a problem. Probably shouldn't let it on your pillow though. ;)
