Crazy snake story!!! Hoping for the best...
Hey Guys, at this moment a have a massive migraine headache!!!

I purchased a really Bright super pastel today at the PA reptile show. On the way home he somehow ( I dont know how he did it!!!!) got out of his box and ended up in the car!! The BAD BAD BAD part about it is that he crammed his way into the AC duct under the car seat and there is no way I can get him out. How did a 390 gram snake fit into such a small space is beyond me. I'm so worried about him but I don't know what to do..this really sucks..

I got a great deal on him and I would hate for anything to happen to him.

    Hoping for the best:(

You might have to visit a mechanic to have him extracted. Good luck!

That totally sucks :(. I'm a BP newb here but I've worked on cars a bit. I'd be really scared of hurting him in an attempt to get him out of that wee space if I were in your shoes. If you can get a 24-hour emergency mechanic to just take the whole duct out you can drop the whole thing in his cage and wait till he comes out on his own. :(

The only way to get him out of there safely is to take the whole seat out. If you can use a socket set, you can do it.

The main bolts go right through the floor panel, you'll have to get under the car to get them out. Once you get the seat unbolted, you can lift it out and turn it over to unfasten the ac duct and get him out.

It's not nearly as hard as you think, I've done it several times, and I'm a 38 year old woman! Best of luck.

Ball pythons will choose a hidey hole over comfort, so no, that wouldn't work--would just possibly compromise the snake's health.

One of the biggest dangers I can see is the car becoming hot inside. It takes no time at all for a car's interior temp to exceed 100F in the summer.

Take the car to a mechanic and get him extracted, best advice. (You may have to find a very tolerant mechanic, I would call around, lol).

 Most cars you can do it from under the seat INSIDE the car. I've been wrenching on cars for 15+ years and have never had to go under a car to get a seat out.
