Separating a tank

I have a big 55 gallon tank that my BPs were being housed in before I rescued them (They were housed together). Currently I'm keeping my rats in there but I need to separate the tank so that I can separate the males from the females. I plan to eventually move the rats into barred cages or tubs. I was thinking that if I could get the humidity up in the tank I could put both of my BPs in the tank once its separated and the rats are moved. I would like to make it more of a pretty enclosure. It's not that they need all the pretty stuff but I like looking at it and why not if I have the tank already? I do love tubs but I thought it would be nice now that they're both healthy and eating.


Just looking for some thoughts on how I could divide the tank up that will be safe for both rats and my snakes if I do ever decide to move them.

you could get a piece of glass or acrylic and cut it to fit in the center and just silicon it in place.

personally I think a 55g is too tall for a ball python. Really most of the space is in its height, and ball pythons really just need floor space.

I know that they don't necessarily need the space but I figured I would put the tank to use if i decided to move my feeders. It would be a fun project and nice to look at. I don't think I'd move my male any way, he's far too easily stressed.
