    Eating mouse alive
I just fed one of my snakes a mouse and the mouse was still kicking it's back legs as she swallowed it. In all my years of keeping snakes I have never seen this. I thought she would spit it back out and constrict it but she just sucked it down. Should I be worried about internal damage?

None of my BPs eat live, but I have heard of this happening before. Most of the time, the mouse will die quickly, but I would think it could have caused damage if it was biting or scratching with the front legs. I have heard that the mouse will try to eat it's way out in a situation like that. I would keep a close eye on your snake. Hope everything is ok.

Are you sure it was actually still alive or was the leg twitching just nerves?
