Good video. Do you weigh your mice before feeding?

Yes I do. At his last weigh in, Fidel was 617 grams, and tonight his meal weighed a total of 70 grams. :) According to my calculations, that's within the 10-15% range!

That's good. I always weigh my prey. I have to take my scale to the pet store with me because the employees speak in sizes, I speak in grams...

Nice video. This also helped me a lot. Because I was always curious as to what people do for multi-feeds. I wasn't sure if they did it back to back, or feed one day, and then another another day. And so on. So thanks for the video post. I found it educational from my point of view, and I will now know what to do if I ever cross this bridge.

I just got my scale a few weeks ago, and it's very convenient with the whole 10-15% of body weight thing. Would've been pert-near impossible to guesstimate, especially with my first BP. :)

Thanks! I think the whole being fed like one live mouse a month thing for a while taught him to eat when it's offered. (That was his previous owner's husbandry, not mine!)

Well you're welcome, glad I could help! Your results may vary from snake to snake as some of course may not take multiples, but I figure if he's already in the box and hungry, why not get a full meal in? (I do not have any rats to feed him currently or I would try feeding them to him, though I don't know if he's ever even seen a rat.) Basically I present one, wait for him to get it down after thoroughly constricting it of course :) (I give him about 10 minutes before I check), then I present the next one and repeat the process until he's eaten 10-15% of his body weight.
