Please tell them thank you!
If your SO (significant other) helps or supports you in your reptile venture. Please today tell how much that support and understanding means to you. We often for get in the hustle of everything that there is another person sitting quietly by while we blabber on about morphs, breeding and stubborn feeders.
So if you have someone that smiles when you talk shop or helps on Saturdays clean tubs so you can go to a movie..Hug them today and tell them thank you.
My wife is the greatest woman on the face of the earth!! She terrified of snakes, scared of rats and 5 months Pregnant. Yet last night she got out of bed in her P.J's to help me catch some runaway rats till 11:30 last night. It struck me how easily she could have simply laughed and said "good luck with that".. but instead there she stood poised like some kind of a reluctant hero with catch tubs in hand and the keen eye of a jungle cat.
I couldn't do it with out her..
So tell them today..make it a point to look them in the eye and let them know just how much you do appreciate all they put up with!

My husband has -zero- interest in my balls, but he indulged me spending a fairly decent chunk of cash on them and hasn't said a single word of complaint about them. I told him Id limit myself to four till I prove I can breed successfully and atleast support the habit through selling babies, but anytime I whine about a pretty new morph picture he says if I reaalllyyy want it I can have it. lol.
So hard to keep my word when he says that.
We wont even go into all the blabbing I do about them, the community, genetics :blahblah::blahblah::blahblah::blahblah:
Special love to the family members that put up with us :D

Gonna tell my wife as soon as she gets home:D
Re: Please tell them thank you!
I tell him every day, when his eyes glaze over when I start talking about what percentages of morphs will come from which clutches, and what combos I want to make.. <lol>

What a great post. My husband has always been so supportive and even cleans the bins if one has an accident and I didn't catch it. He may growl a little about the lizards...but never about our BP's..and supports every crazy idea I get!!
I also wanted to say Wow..what a funny story to tell the baby when he gets a little older. I remember when you were in your Mom's tummy and she was trying to catch rats with me.;)
