Hitting multipe sire clutches
Ok, this is for the breeders out there. Those who often put multiple males to one female.
I'd like you to check your records and tell me how well you do with hitting a multi-sire clutch, please.

Re: Hitting multipe sire clutches
I have really only tried this about 4 or 5 times, but so far I am 100% on getting multiple sires to produce in a clutch. 2 of the attempts I have made have been for my clutch contests, which have been documented on this site. I did it again another 2 times this year, so we shall see.

I tried this year for the first time I'll let you know soon.;)
Re: Hitting multipe sire clutches
how do you actually do it?
typical breeding is 2-3 days on, then 1 day off.
on the mutiple sire do you. 2-3 days on with 1st male. then off. then place the 2nd male in, then off. then back to the 1st male?

All I can say was it wasn't the Sterling that got in there. Sorry girl.

See... that goes along with my theory, about increasing the odds of normals with multi-sired clutches. Adding to that, I paired my normal with three co-dom morphs (pastel, mojave & spider), and the results were 5 normals and 1 mojave.
My thought is that you could have hit more than one dad, but the resulting offspring were normals - so you'd never know! And if each dad throws (for example) a 50% chance of making normals, that percentage would increase with each added morph. It's just a crazy thought, but I swear it makes some sense if you think about it. ;)
