    Helix DBS-1000 E3
ok so i walk into my room just atliitle while ago to see a red light on my helix and i pressed the little temp controll button. and got the display EE followed quickly by E3.

the instructions claim that: "E2 and E3 denote invalid day and night temperatures respectively. If a memory setting becomes corrupted, the controller will decect it and reset itself, or safetly default to 85F, and the red trouble light will stay on until the approriate setting has been reset."

has anyone come across this issue, and if so how did you take care of it? i checked the temps and they are alittle above normal so i adjusted to compensate and im watching the racks temps every 15 minutes.i've already contacted the company through email, and i just took the time to buy a herpstat pro to replace it as ill need it in the future anyhow.

    Thank You :)

I thought I had gotten that same error and Helix sent me out a deal to plug into the back of it and it reset it.

It worked just fine up until I got the little plug and worked fine afterwards

yeah just got an email back from them and they said its fine and only has to do with the night drop temps. seeing as i dont have a night drop they are sending me a shunt to reset the system. but since ive got a herpstat pro on the way ill just keep this for an incubator when i build it!
