Well, I'm pretty sure you want to clean everything, then give the whole area a good dose of Provent-a-mite.

Get the Provent-A-Mite. Every one heat swears by it, me included. My little girl got mites not to long after I got her. Got a can for PAM (the Provent-A-Mite) and it's great! I did one treatment and haven't had a problem since! And it works much better then any home remedies that I've looked at. And some home remedies can actually harm the snake if not done to the T.
In the mean time you can soak your snake in a luke warm water to help drown any mites on him. And treat the enclosure with a bleach and water solution. Also you can vacum out the enclosure to get rid of any possible eggs. Throw out what ever you use as substance for now, and put down newspaper or paper towels. That way you can see the little buggers walking around.

That's the website for the PAM. And although it is a little expensive (at least it was for my taste) I say get it. It works wonder's! the day after I sprayed the enclosure I haven't seen anything crawling around.
That's just a few tips from myself, and my own personally experience.

PAM....provent a mite and make sure you clean the cage super super good. Up around the top and the corners that is where the eggs are!! Also if you have any type of wood in there you need to cook it in the oven. The other stuff I would put in the dishwasher on super hot.

I swear by Provent-A-Mite. I treat each of my enclosures once a month, and 1 can will last me 4-5 months. You won't need to saturate everything with it. Just a uniform, medium spray for teating mites, or a light spray if used as a preventative...
