    Exactly what size rat are you referring to? The general rule of thumb is for the prey to be a little bigger than the thickest part on the snakes body, or 15-20% of the snakes body weight. Do you know how much your bp weighs?

    Hi,

    It's actually a better idea to keep them on small rats - they tend to eat on a more regular schedule.

    Big meals can sometimes trigger fasts - and BP's are already too likely to do that. :rolleyes:
