    over feeding?
So I have a 1200g-ish female, I gave her a small rat about a week ago, when I opened it up to make sure she ate it, she poped up at me like "Food?" so I thawed another one and gave it to her. didnt have that thing in the tub more then 3 seconds before it was gone. so with that information I figured Id move her up to mediums this week, she took it just fine and I came back a while to check on her and she did the same thing poked her head out and looked at me like she wanted more, so I thawed a small rat for her (all I had left) and she took it just fine.

So I guess my question is...3 small rats (40g ea) a medium rat (100g) in a 10-14 time span ok? I figure as long as they eat it with no problems it shouldnt be a problem. maybe my thinking is off, I just dont want her to get too fat or sick. I think she is an early 08 to give you an age.

    Thanks

The rule of thumb is usually 15% of the snake's body weight. So, 15% of 1200 is what you should be feeding.

    Oh thought of another question.

How much of that 15% will the snake retain? granted every snake is different but maybe a general number?
