    Genetic Question about Supers
    Hi,

i will jump right in with giving an expample with what i don't understand.
    Queenbee(lesser,pastel,spider) X Pastel =
    Normal
    Pastel
    Lesser Platinum
    Lesser Platinum, Pastel
    Spider
    Spider, Pastel
    Pastel
    Super Pastel
    Pastel, Spider
    Super Pastel, Spider
    Lesser Platinum, Pastel
    Lesser Platinum, Super Pastel
    Lesser Platinum, Spider
    Lesser Platinum, Spider, Pastel
    Lesser Platinum, Pastel, Spider
    Lesser Platinum, Super Pastel, Spider

Now when u breed Queenbee X Superpastel =
    Pastel
    Lesser Platinum, Pastel
    Spider, Pastel
    Super Pastel
    Super Pastel, Spider
    Lesser Platinum, Super Pastel
    Lesser Platinum, Spider, Pastel
    Lesser Platinum, Super Pastel, Spider

    - How come the Normal and Spider morph go away when u breed the Superpastel ?

    - And does this go for all Supermorphs ?

    Re: Genetic Question about Supers
The answer lies in the fact that the Super Pastel has two pastel genes, not just one. It is the homozygous form of the mutation. Therefore every animal will carry at-least one pastel gene no matter what the animal is bred to.

The Spider gene doesn't dissappear but the Spiders in the clutch do.
There will be no Spiders in that clutch, i think that is what the topic starter meant...
