why ortiz isn't fighting liddel

They just opened up this week's episode of TUF by announcing that he needs further back/neck surgery.

It sucks, but I'd been wondering why, since nothing about his health had been announced.

Here's to a successful surgery and quick recovery, so that we may see Chuck and Tito go at it in the future.

For those who don't know after the weigh-ins on episode No. 9 of "The Ultimate Fighter 11: Team Liddell vs. Team Ortiz" , the focus turned to Tito, who told his team that a doctor has recommended surgery because a disc is pushing against his spine. The condition makes sleep impossible and causes his legs to tingle.

"If I keep chancing myself or fighting injured, I'm going to hurt myself worse" Tito says. "I"m not going to make the same mistake I've made before. I'm not going to let Chuck beat me because I wasn't 100 percent. No way." - Tito

I can understand wanting the surgery as to not take a chance to injure yourself more and wanting to be 100% durring the fight but it is really bad timing as it looks like a cop out. Tito is not going to win aganist Chuck not matter what he does really though IMO.

It does look like a cop out. I like Tito but I feel Chuck will definitely win.

Well said and fully agree!!!!

Tito better stick to fighting women (Jenna) and the elderly (Shamrock.)

The only reason he dominated for so long is because every other fighter had to go through Chuck and get broken before fighting Tito.
Chuck was the gate keeper, and Tito did not have to face him for too long.
