spraying when its already humid?
should we still spray the tank even if the humidity is at like 70? or 80? Top is covered with a towl so its going to be really humid
Re: spraying when its already humid?
No, you don't need to spray when the humidity gets that high. If the relative humidity is up like that, I would fold the towel back a little bit and use an oscillating fan to circulate some air around the tank. It doesn't have to blow directly in it, but maybe across the top. This will help lower the humidity down a little...
Re: spraying when its already humid?
If your humidity is good (50-70%) then there is no need to spray. I only mist occasionally during shed cycles.
Re: spraying when its already humid?
its been days and i havent had to spray the bottom of the tank is moist and the humidity is stilll above 60 should i just not bother with the spraying till the humidity gets down to 50?

Correct :), even 50% Is good, spray if it drops below 50%

Hi,
Only time you need to make sure it gets above 60% is when they are in shed. :gj:

You also need to be sure that the floor of the tank isn't overly moist because it can cause scale rot.
