Cracked Viv.
So i have a 2ft x 1ft x 2ft viv and the guy who set it up for me taped the heat mat to the bottom (i didnt know he had done this). This obviously led to the viv cracking.
It is cracked on the bottom but i could put it on its side so the crack is at the back. then cover it with some polystyrene backing?
What do you think?

Re: Cracked Viv.
Generally the heat mat is taped, or the sticky backing is peeled off to attach it to the bottom of the glass. It never made my tank crack when I used tanks. I recommend you get a tub, much easier!

You can have two snakes, and use tubs.Just don't keep them together!

I"m with you! Snakes are decorative pets, they need good "frames".
Your idea to turn it on it's side and make the crack the back sounds good. Hope it works good for you.
Does that make the top the front? If so you might want to make a plexi-glass lid like this guy.... YouTube - Plexiglass lid tutiorial
He's my fave do it your self tank retrofitter, he does some great polystyrene type background tutorials too.
