    help please help
sorry for the dramatic title but i think i may need some help with the options i have for heating. i have been looking at getting a jcp and may have found an adult male with a brilliant temperment. i will be getting to handle him before making any decisions aswell as meeting some burms and retics :D

here come the questions. to house this snake i am building a 4 x 3 x 3 foot viv. i know that the heat source should be at the top and would be looking for the best heating solution. so far i have looked at using a day and a night bulb set up on dimmer's and timers 12 hours on each bulb. i have also thought about back and side heat through heat mats on the top half of the viv.

any ideas would be well apreciated as im giving myself a headache trying to decide the best way to do this

Radiant heat panels. Is the housing you are building suitable for the higher humidity of a carpet?

im going to be using moisture resistent mdf which will be sealed with a water based non toxic varnish to make sure it will cope with humidity and any water spillages. ive read through so many care sheets to get everything spot on and its been driving me mad trying to sort out the heating lol ive found a place that will suply the wood and cut everything to size aswell as a glazer that will cut doors from saftey glass for me so its gonna be a busy month or two.
is this the sort of thing that im looking for? http://www.888reptiles.co.uk/product...ctGroupID=1739

2x on radiant heat panels. For larger enclosures, they are just the best thing available nowadays for heating pythons.

That's the sort of thing you're looking for, I haven't heard of the thing you linked to before so I can't comment on it, but it looks to be the same type of thing.
