    Rhac question
So whats the deal with Leachie's and being so expensive, just beacuse of rarity or size?

I really want one (wife thinks there ugly, but I disagree) but there just so expensive. Are they worth the money? are they the same "General" care as other rhacs?

They are more expensive because they are harder to produce. It takes about 3 years to grow a female leachie to proper breeding size. Males and females don't always get along, so it is harder to successfully pair them. Once they are paired, they can take longer to become gravid and generally only lay a few times per year.

Their care is about the same as cresteds, but on a much larger scale. They need much more space and more food. They can sometimes be territorial of their space and can be aggressive. They are a bit harder to handle when unhappy than a little crestie. I have a female that would like to eat my face every time I go into her cage, but then a male who is very shy but has never made any kind of aggressive move toward me at all and can be handled until he decides enough is enough and starts getting flighty.
