    HELIX question....
Im planning on buying racks this year and some balls also a spider & albino. My question is how does helix keep all my tubs with the same heat? does it only have 1 probe? does it turn off & on? i have a zilla thermostat at the moment and tried plugging my 2 UTHs under the same thermostat but didnt work for me...the tank with the probe had the right temp but the other 1 was way off so i went & bought another same thermostat the next day for $50... i was wondering if helix works the same way? i've heard of a thermostat that has its own individual probe for each tub which keeps all the tubs in the right temp always...has any body heard of it or have it? if so where can i find it?

Ok in tubs you have one heat source I will use Vision racks as an example because thats what I use. You line out your heat cable from bottom to top or vice versa and then you put your Temp and Helix probe in the middle of the rack. I usually tape the 2 probes to the heat cable with Aluminum tape found at Home Depot or Lowe's in the Hvac section.

You can run multiple pieces of flexwatt or UTH or etc off of a single t-stat, but they have to be IDENTICAL! In other words, you can't run 11" flexwatt and a UTH off of the same thermostat - you'll get wildly different temps.

You could run three racks off a single thermostat if all have the same heating element.

    Hope that helps.
