    I pull young rats at 4 weeks, sometimes 3.5 if they are eating on their own and of a good weight.

    i can usually wean mine at 2.5 - 3 weeks, the moms get a really good diet lol

    You should not go any longer than 4 1/2 to 5 weeks. Any longer than that, and they can start breeding at that age.

    Ruddy teet leeches! I pull em when I catch them eating solid food and drinking from the bottle. Otherwise they will suck mom dry till college.

    I pull the big ones, and if there are a few smaller ones, I let them hang around a bit longer.

    never ever seen a 9 week old rat give birth.....ever.
