    ASF Rat question
I have an opportunity to pick some of these up. Last time I tried breeding rats (not ASF's) I did not have very good success. I have to keep them in the same room as the snakes as I have no other place to keep them so it's a bit warm (79-80 typically). Do these guys do okay at that temperature? I'm not sure what their total range covers but considering they are natural prey for ball pythons I would think they could tolerate higher temps. Anybody have experience with these guys? I'm hoping for a solution to some of my stubborn feeders that don't want to eat f/t consistently other than going to the pet store and paying $6/rat.

The great thing about ASF's is that they breed like crazy and you don't pull the males or females from the breeding tubs when they drop babies. They stay together from the day you start the colony.

The only thing I don't like about them is that they grow kinda slow but its not that big of a deal.

**They have an ASF forum just below the one you posted this in. You will find a lot more info available about them there.**

I have run into a few obstacles, with moving my snakes & asf's into their new home, but the asf's breeding hasn't been one, I started new breeder groups 6weeks ago, and they are doing fine despite sharing a 80-82 degree room with the snakes
