One of my male rats has an eye problem. The eye is surrounded by what appears to be porphyrin (lots of it. When I first saw it a few weeks ago I thought it was blood). He has been in with a single female and I have not heard or witnessed any fighting. It is only in one eye. It has been like this for at least 2-3 weeks. Is there anything I can do for him (besides taking him to the vet) to help his eye clear up. I can provide pictures if needed.
