Computer fan to lower humidity?
My Saharan sand boa's bin is around 60% humidity, when it should be lower than 40%. My room alone is 50%. I have a screen lid, holes in the tub, everything, but the ambient humidity in my room is just too high. I have a computer fan I'm not using.
Would it work if I set the fan on top of the bin, pointing down through the screen mesh? How much would it lower humidity (estimation, obviously)? Or would I be better off using some other method?
Re: Computer fan to lower humidity?
I have heard of people using them to ventilate enclosures before, but I haven't seen anyone post pics of how they actually did it. If you do figure out a way to do it, post some pics...
Re: Computer fan to lower humidity?
I have a ceiling fan in the room where my rack is. I've noticed that with it on "low" it does a great job at reducing humidity.
Re: Computer fan to lower humidity?
a computer fan could work, a small oscillating fan in the room will also work. Try out a few different things and see what works best.
Re: Computer fan to lower humidity?
Hi, I don't know anything about sand boas but from my experience with ball pythons, a ceramic heat lamp is great at lowering humidity.
