    OMG they hatched!! Now what?
My first clutch ever just hatched! I can't believe I actually did it. Im going to go transfer them as a group to a small shelf in my rack set up for now. What else should I do? When should I seperate them? When should I attempt first feeding? All advice is welcome. Thanks guys.

You can leave them together until after the first shed. Make sure they are on damp paper towls and the temps are correct. Its best to put them in seperate tubs once they are feeding so you can moniter each one. Dont handle them alot until the first shed. The new scales are delicate.

Give them something like wet paper towels for substrate to keep them nice and moist until their first shed which should be 7-10 days after they hatch. Don't worry about feeding them until after they shed. Some separate them immediately, others wait until after their first shed, its kind of up to you.

Its worth pointing out, if you have taken the time to breed them and incubate them, you should take some time to research them as well so you are prepared.

    One more point.

I have done some reseach but I am admittitly a little unprepared. Life has been very busy lately, this is my new #1 priority though.

They are very cute and squirmy by they way. Lesser X Normal pairing yielded 2 lessers and 5 normals. They all seem healthy. Im planning on having a friend with more experience help me sex them for the first time. Im pretty excited.

Ha we all forgot to give advice about feeding! Wait until after the first shed. Then in another day or two, offer each one their first meal. Everyone is different but babies generally wont go for anything too small that is not moving. Mouse pinks are too small for baby BPs. Fuzzy mouse crawlers are better. You can try rat pinks and you may need to wiggle it a little but not enough to scare the BP. Baby ASFs that are 1 to 2 weeks old are great starters because they are the right size, fuzzy and move alot. Regardless of what you use to start them, if they dont take it the first try leave it with them for a little bit. If nothing after that, offer again in a few days. After the first few meals and weight gain, once you know they are accepting food eagerly, you can switch to F/T rat pinks. They will very quickly move up to crawlers and so on.
