Got a new BP!!!!..Whoo Hoo....
:banana:Yes!!!!...I finally got my way for once..hahahaha...(Wifey and Mother-in law not to fond of Ssnakes..LOL)
I have another post here "Might be picking up a BP"...this is the next one, with some more info.
This thing looks 10 times better in person, it has "Tracks" running pretty much the whole way down its back, with a clear white belly. It's pattern looks pretty reduced, with NO alien heads...well no eyes atleast..
The guy I got HIM (sexed em last night) from went to Miami to get them fresh off the boat from Guana (?)...he's gotten a few "special" bps before...mine just looks VERY VERY nice....I'm trying to get pics of him but this litter guy wont stay still..lol...
I'll post a pic from email....and I'll try to get some new ones up to...
Thanks.

Nice looking little guy. My only concern with getting the imported babies would be eating. Did the guy you got him from say how long he had him and if it was an established feeder? If not, I would definitely suggest setting him up in a small tub and leaving him alone for about 7-10 days before trying to feed, and then keeping him in the tub until he is at least eating for you for a couple of months...
Re: Got a new BP!!!!..Whoo Hoo....
Already doing EXCATLY what you suggested. The guy did say they have eaten for him and have shed already. I have him in a 6qt tub right now. Getting his new home (10gal tank) setup this weekend, but gonna keep him in the 6qt till I feel he's ready and developed a feeding schedual.
He has some nice patterns/markings on him to...

Re: Got a new BP!!!!..Whoo Hoo....
I'd like to think I am..LOL...I've done, and still continue to do tons of research on BPs...I have had a few in the past as well as a few Boas to. I know/understand 85-90% of general husbandry/housing/feeding/breeding...but am always looking for more info.
I am planning on starting a breeding project in the next 2 years or so...I've done ALOT of genetics studying (still kinda fuzzy)..lol...but understand alot more then when I first started studying BP genetics.
I love ball pythons and am very excited to get the breeding project started, once I get them and grow them up..lol....
Thanks to sites like this, even complete "Noobs" can learn a ton of usefull info and gain a lot of knowledge on owning a snake.
