Lock in water--please read

Hey everyone! Given, I haven't been at this long, but this is a first for me. A pair of my balls locked with they're tails in my females water dish. The water is one-day fresh, but I'm still not comfortable with the lock being under water. Should I be at all concerned about this? It may not be a big deal, but on the other hand, their private bits are now in direct contact with water, and if they remain locked in this position, could be for many hours. Needless to say I don't think that's natural for a Ball Python. I definitely don't want to move them, as that will certainly put them at risk of injury. Am I being a worry wart, or could this cause potential problems? Thanks a lot ahead of time for all of your input, it's definitely appreciated.

their "privates" come in direct contact with feces once or more times a week and with water any time they soak. so i seriously doubt you have anything to worry about

Thanks for the reply! My only worry is that when soaking or when defecating, the males cloaca isn't open, and his hemi-penes, being tucked into his tail, don't come in direct contact with water or feces. Again, I might just be worrying too much about it. Thanks again for the reply though, regardless of my continued concern, it's still very much appreciated!

I havent had my balls lock in water, but my BRBs lock in water 95% of the time.

You are worried that clean water would have a negative effect on the snakes genitalia?
Nope. If there is nothing harmful in the water you are fine.

No need to worry. I have had this happen as well. Just this season 2 of my het pieds locked with tails in the bowl. Some breeders remove water bowls during breeding to avoid extra mess and the chance of spreading RI but if you do not cool your snakes and your are positive they are healthy then I see no reason to remove bowls. I just figured the got all hot and bothered and needed to cool down lol.
