I swore I'd never, but please give me input...
I tried a couple late pairings starting in April...The Mojo locked a good couple of times and the Pinny was a little shy with my voyeurism...They stopped bowl wrapping and have been coiling on the warm side...They've gone though the blue stage and hopefully will shed soon...Can you please give me your thoughts? Here are some piccy's from today...Sorry for the poor picture quality...

It possible, they could just either be really fat girls or may have a few eggs in each of them. Its hard to tell from the pictures.

Thanks Steve...The Pinny was a girl with tons of junk in her trunk...pushing 2000 grams:O:O...They've been off feed since end of last year, so she hasn't lost too much...The Mojo was a more petite 1800 grams and stopped eating at the same time...She was the one that was all over my Lesser dude...She appears to be laying in that awkward position and has been laying like that quite often...

While averages here are thing to consider

Female usually shed 14 days after ovulation that would put the ovulation around May 2nd in that case.

Females usually start building 6 weeks prior to ovulation, that would put it at mid march.

You started pairing in April ;)

In other word it a little too early in my opinion, doesn't mean something is not going (can't tell from your picture) but I highly doubt that they are going through a pre-lay shed.

    Did you palpate your female?

Thanks Deborah...I didn't palpate them...I've never had the touch...LOL :D I thought I saw one balloon up at one point but things have been so crazy at work, all my days and weeks blend...I just know I was doing the 1 week in switch of my boys...I might have been in March, but then again, I could be dreaming too...:O:O

So, I'll just keep my eyes open and see what happens next...:tears::tears::tears:

I'm going through this exact same thing, hopefully we'll both get lucky:please:

Good luck to you. Check for signs of them coiling more tightly when they are laying around, odd positions, inverting the last 2/3 of their body, laying on the warm end, and there is another sign but I can't exactly remember at this moment.

Thanks Tiffany...Positive thoughts to you and your snakes...Yah, the Mojo is doing the odd laying positions...Hoping for beating the odds and short time frame for a late breeding...Really hoping this proves my Lesser Dude as a breeding dog!! :D:D:D

Okay...I'm bummed...I picked them up and did my attempt at palpating non-compliant BP's and I didn't feel anything as described as what I should feel...No marbles, boulders, bumps or soft balls...Cest la vie...Hopefully, next season:tears::tears::tears::weirdface:weirdface:weirdface:D

Good luck Tiffany, looks like I'm outta of it now...;);)

Don't give up, I suck at palpating and never feel a thing, even on a gravid female Ball at the reptile sanctuary!! Still keep your hopes up, expect the unexpected.. Well.. wouldn't that mean to just expect eggs? Hmm.:P
