    Breeding Suggestions?
So I have been getting slightly interested in breeding ball pythons. I was wondering if anyone could tell me a website or book that has all the morphs listed and how to make them. It will be at least a year, probably 2 before I actually breed them since I have a lot to learn and equipment to get. I know some of the basics about dominant, co-dominant, recessive stuff, but need to do a lot more research to get a better understanding of how everything works.

I have 1 normal male, 1 bumble bee male, and 1 female pastel. All of them are not sexually mature yet, but could anyone tell me what I would get if I bred them together, or other morphs I could purchase to match with them to get an interesting clutch? I know the possibilities are probably endless... Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

My first suggestion is you need Females..... The bee male is an awesome place to start.... If you breed your bee to your pastel you can produce normals spiders pastels bees super pastels and bees(not to shabby ehh...)
With the bee male and basic dominate or co-dom female would be great!
    Fire
    mojo
    butter
    black pastel or Cinny
    pinstripe
are all relatively more affordable than many other morphs and will all go well with a bee

Breed the pastel to the bee and the morphs you'd get are spiders, pastels, bees and killer bees.

I would highly suggest reading "The Complete Ball Python" by Kevin McCurley(head guy at NERD) It is a awesome book with lots of info about breeding and tons of pictures of morphs.

Also Designer Morphs, 2nd Edition (http://www.designermorphs.com/index.htm) which comes out June 10th will be the most up to date printed catalogue of ball pythons morphs. I can't wait to get it!

I though of breed my bee to pastel. My bee will probably be ready next winter, but my pastel is a little gal. I don't know how long it will be before she is ready. I wouldn't mind getting an older pastel though. I just love the color of mine. They are one of my favorite morphs besides bees. Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe I'll be stopping at the next reptile show to pick something up:D

Sometimes the big BP breeders (or the little ones turning into big ones) move from single Co Dom genetic females to double or triple Co Dom females. When that happens they sometimes put the old single gene females up for sale since they don't have much use for them anymore. Just something to keep in mind.

Also if you are looking for a bigger female Colin Weaver has a excellent article about the stuff to look out for when buying older snakes. http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...d.php?t=109170
