Is this a Newt or a Salamander?

It's a salamander but I can't recall what kind, brachio somethingorother I think, one of the 2 toed ones maybe.

I can't find my Eastern States Field Guide but it should be pretty easy to look up.

yeah i would have to say salamander as well. He looks alot like the ones that i find under logs and rocks around lakes and ponds here in RI. Theyre cool little animals but very fragile.

That's a salamander--I believe it may be one of the lungless varieties.
