Re: Eating mice backwards.
It happen's sometime, no problem there.
Re: Eating mice backwards.
Yes. This usually happens when the prey item is too small.
No. As long as it goes down, its no big deal.

As long as it's the mouse that's going in backwards, and not the other way around, it's fine.
Re: Eating mice backwards.
Yeah my girl ate a mouse backwards a few weeks ago, it happens from time to time. May be time for you to move to the next size prey though. :P
Re: Eating mice backwards.
Yeah, it's fine, it just usually takes them a little longer to work around the rear legs if it's a big food item. And sometimes they'll give up and drop it and look at you expectantly... and then when you go to retrieve the mouse so you can dry it off and give it back to them, they try to bite your hand.
It's when they try to eat the mouse sideways that it's a problem. ;)
Re: Eating mice backwards.
I'm glad to see someone ask this. Mine tried to eat his mouse butt first last night and it didn't go well. He looked so confused (if thats possible), but he figured it out and flipped it around
Re: Eating mice backwards.
mine just ate one backwards today. she does that from time to time. just depends on how she grabs the mouse.
