Re: Boaphile lights
Two options (bear in mind I'm not familiar with the cages):
1. Could you order lights from Boaphile and install them yourself?
or
2. Could you drill a small hole in the back of the cage, and then mount a small fluorescent fixture (from like Wal-Mart or Home Depot) inside the cage?
I mounted a light in a Neodesha cage that I had once like that. You would have to cut off the plug, and then a wire new one once you put the cord through the hole.
Good luck!!
(And enjoy your cage -- I guess they take priority over racks :P )

Re: Boaphile lights
yeah i guess they do, i settled in for a long wait and next thing you know they were knocking on the door.
thanks for the idea, my biggest problem was what to do with the screw heads if i mounted them on the top because they seem to fit flush. It flat never occured to me to mount them on the back

Re: Boaphile lights
Other people might be able to suggest different ways to mount a light fixture as well. Possibley 5 minute epoxy?? You would probably have to let it air out for a while -- but think it would be fine once it dried -- and it you wouldn't have to worry about a snake getting stuck on it after it is dry either...
I really like using velcro squares for thermometers inside my cages. They come in packages with self adhesive -- it would probably work to mount a small light fixture. Some people would say not to use that in case the snake would get stuck to it, but I have had no issues...
