    Cypress mulch question
Ok so I want to switch to the cypress but I was wondering if the stuff ya buy from home depot is ok since it's not 100%. I kno about baking it and all the good stuff with it. I have humidity problems with my rack and kno this will help and also want them to have something soft and natural for them instead of the news paper. Please help. Thanks.

They do sell pure cypress mulch at home depot and not sure about lowes. You just have to pick up the right one. Read the bag and if you are not sure call the company and ask.

Don't get the real dark one because it has tint/color added to it.

To the OP I totally know what your talking about.

Around here All the Cypress mulch says "Cypress Mulch Blend" And they never tell you what with. I even phoned the company on the bag and they had no clue.

In all honesty before I switched to a pain in the rear like mulch I would try a larger water bowl and a humid hide.

If your set on mulch then look at petsmart for reptibark. MOre expensive but it does give peace of mind.

Because I have 0 luck finding 100% Cypress mulch at any lawn and garden store.

Could the term "blend" mean the texture of the wood is cut/shredded to? I buy organic cypress mulch from a local nursery it say professional blend yet then goes on its cut to specific size to prevent floating, ect. The back says 100% certified organic cypress with no oil/chemicals added.

    Re: Cypress mulch question
so I've put in the mulch and everything is good. Thanks for the help everyone. I thought about the Aspen bedding but I've read that the Aspen isn't as good for the humidity as the cypress. I feel better knowing that it will help the humidity and something softer that they can roam on. I baked all the mulch in the oven before I put it in the tubs.
