Managed to get a quick vid of this little guy feeding today!! Very shy but getting a bit braver..

very cool vid! i also used to have one. found him on my football field during practice and my dad took him home. had him for a couple years ever since he was about the size of a half dollar! i miss him so much, my dad gave him to a buddy cus he was outgrowing our 150 gal aquarium! lol but now hes got a whole pond to play around in and even has a whole side of just sand where he gets fed mice! from what i hear he is SUPER fast when he is hunting, and very viscous! My dad said he saw him pop a mouses head off! lol wouldnt wanna get your fingers stuck in there!;)

Thanks everyone,sorry for the late reply. He has up until recently been very shy but I have been dropping the food in lately and the splash seems to trigger him off..lol. I have taken some more video of him the past few days so will post it up when I upload it to youtube. I try and keep his tank spotless(not easy!) but dont have substrate and do regular water changes.Seems to work for now!
Meant to add that was salmon fillet..he prefers this and trout to most things but takes rodents,prawns the odd live fish lol..
